Newton Commercial was formed in 1979 by Richard and Vera Newton, in response to demand from classic car enthusiasts for hand crafted, original specification trim. The company celebrated its 20th year in 1999 and has grown to become the largest company of its kind in the UK. In 1990 the company was recognised by British Motor Heritage Ltd as an approved specialist*. British Motor Heritage Ltd is now a subsidiary of BMW Mobile Tradition.

Our expertise is recognised worldwide and we currently supply all major markets including Europe, Japan, USA, and Australasia. All Newton Commercial products are designed to original specification and are made using only approved materials. The company has a modern, purpose built 20,000 square foot factory based in Suffolk. Here skilled craftsmen and women using the latest technology available to our industry carry out all aspects of cutting, sewing and panel trimming. We currently supply original specification trim for the Morris Minor, Mini, MG and Triumph marques to all these major markets. In recent years Newton Commercial has expanded to include the MGF and Land Rover Freelander to its range.

BRITISH MOTOR HERITAGE (BMH) SPECIALSTS

In the mid 1980’s BMH brought together the major classic car retailers and suppliers to form a group of British Motor Heritage approved specialists. To qualify for membership, Heritage specialists are put through a stringent selection process, which takes into account everything from financial stability through to customer service.
