Mk2 Mini had both the 848cc or the 998cc engines.

The 850 model still had the magic wand gear change.
The 1000 model had the remote gear change.

1968 seen the introduction of the four-synchro gearbox.

Drums all round with twin leading shoes, for all models.
As well as hydrolastic suspension, for all models.
New style steering rack.


1275 Cooper 'S' Cooper was born in 1970

998cc Coopers retained the 7" discs and rear drums.

Cooper 'S' retained the 7.5" discs and rear drums with built in spacers.

Retained the hydrolastic suspensionand adopted the new style steering rack.
